South London duo overhaul ‘Space Is Us’

The first single from the new Telefis album a Dó (two) has been remixed by legendary electronic dance duo Basement Jaxx.

Telefís is the groundbreaking collaboration between two Irish iconoclasts, revered singer-songwriter Cathal Coughlan of Microdisney/Fatima Mansions fame who sadly passed away in May this year and world-renowned producer Garret “Jacknife” Lee.

Jacknife Lee notes… “One of the most exciting things for me about making music is getting the chance to collaborate with artists that I love and admire. With Telefís we’ve been lucky to have some legends work with us — Jah Wobble, Thomas Leer, A Certain Ratio, Will Sergeant. and now Basement Jaxx! Cathal and I have been fans from their early days. I did a remix for “Where’s Your Head At?” just after my Missy Elliott bootleg came out in 2001. We’re thrilled with this mix and how they’ve bent “Space Is Us” into something to jump around to”.  ‘Space Is Us’ (Basement Jaxx Remix) will be available on all digital platforms on Friday August 12, 2022
