Bad Taste Recordings mark “history locked in time” with 2020 retrospective

The leading drum & bass label plans a Christmas Day splurge…

Bad Taste Recordings, the drum & bass label run by Vegas and Maldini of scene veterans Bad Company, are rounding off the year with a massive 2020 retrospective that they describe as “history locked in time”.

Bad Taste Drum & Bass 2020 features a global line up headed by BC’s own Vegas – who teams up with Full Kontakt – and Heist of Metalheadz fame, who appears with Zombie Cats on ‘Falcon’. Among the other talent featuring are Malux, Teddy Killerz, Gydra, Kursva, Filip Motovunski, Drumsik, Art1fact, Bohemian, Hemanifezt, Screamarts, Zombie Cats, Minor Rain, Ephyum, Xeomi & Kaiza.

A statement from the pair said: “Thankfully it’s time to celebrate the end of this year with our annual collection of Badness. Looking back over the last 12 months is quite a challenging thing. 2020 has been an unexpected blip in all of our lives and has literally challenged the entire world and its music. This compilation is history locked in time. A summary of the worst year with some of the best drum & bass that never got the chance to thunder through those huge sound systems across the globe. This is 2020 viewed through the eyes of Bad Taste as it twisted and turned, month after month through the gauntlet of lockdown, online with many of its family from across the world.”

The album will be released on December 25 on Bad Taste Recordings.
