Custom firmware adds chromatic sample playback to Korg Volca Sample. We’re still shipping
Korg’s tiny sampler is a Juno favourite. New custom firmware makes the affordable instrument even more powerful. Plus: a note on Juno shipping as normal.

We have an in-stock guarantee, so everything that is showing as in-stock on the website is in our warehouse and ready to ship to you. Find out more here.
The Korg Volca Sample is already one of our favourite sampler instruments, offering a surprisingly fun and capable approach to sampling in the portable Volca format we’ve come to know and love. New free custom firmware from developer Pajen unlocks the ability to play samples chromatically as well as triggering one-shot hits.
More info/buy
It’s a fairly simple upgrade, but it adds a feature that many people thought Korg should have included as standard, allowing you to use the Volca Sample in a completely different way and think of it more like a traditional keyboard sampler than an MPC-style drum sampler.
The custom firmware is available now as a free download via a WeTransfer link.
(Note: as far as we understand, installing custom firmware will void any warranty on the unit, although the standard firmware can be reinstalled if you choose to do so.)
The Korg Volca Sample is in stock now, priced at £126.48. Scroll down for an intro to the standard instrument plus more demos of the standard and custom firmware.
