Powerhouse German synth brand Waldorf has announced a version 2.0 firmware update for its flagship synth, the 8-voice Quantum.
More info/buy
The hybrid synth has been updated extensively. The biggest change is the introduction of a new Kernel synthesis mode, with each of six ‘kernels’ being made up of three elements (samples, wavetables, noise, and so on).
There are also new wavetable display modes, advanced sample editing and improved import/export options. Quantum OS 2.0 is a free update for all Quantum owners. You can download the firmware from your myWaldorf account.
Check out a teaser video of the new features below and scroll down for more demos of the Quantum. The Waldorf Quantum is in stock now, priced at £3,149.
