Love Means Taking Action for Croatian Amor
Loke Rahbek’s prevailing solo alias to give Posh Isolation a fifth LP.
Damien Dubrovnik member and Posh Isolation co-founder Loke Rahbek is an artist that’s impossible to keep up with given the amount of bands and collaborations he’s been involved with over the years, many of which have contributed to his label which has released more than 20 titles in various formats this year. Highlights have of course come from Varg, particularly the recent reissue of cassette box set called Star Alliance, plus LPs from Mats Erlandsson, Norin (who also recently made headlines) and Vanessa Amara to Puce Mary and Body Sculptures albums.
Rahbek makes up one fifth of the latter, while the only release credited with his real name was a collaborative LP with the former last year called The Female Form. Outside of this, his foremost work comes under the Croatian Amor banner which to date has released a slew of tapes, 7″s and 12″s over the years in addition to four albums on Posh Isolation between 2013 and 2014.
Rahbek’s Croatian Amor project now returns with a full solo missive called Love Means Taking Action which follows The Wild Palms LP from 2014 which was only made available on cassette for a single month in exchange for a nude self-portrait. Rahbek himself has described the music as “twelve tracks of very human electronic music,” with the label explaining of the album, “voices repeat and quietly glitch through tonal shifts,” alongside samples, field recordings and “pristine synthesis”.
Stems of the album will also be given away for free come September 30 via the darkly Love Means Taking Action website, and you can listen to the album’s opening track ahead of its impending release below. Helm’s Alter label will be handling the CD and digital editions of Love Means Taking Action whilst Posh Isolation will be responsible for the vinyl.
Posh Isolation will release Love Means Taking Action by Croatian Amor on September 30.
