Asusu returns with new Livity Sound record

The Hallucinator/Sendak 12″ will arrive in October.

Scour the Livity Sound discography and you’ll see the last time Craig Stennet committed some original Asusu material to the label was the Surge/Remnants collaboration with fellow founder Peverelist in late 2013. In reality this is not that drastic, as Livity Sound put the brakes on original material in 2014 for a programme of high profile remixes whilst the following year saw Asusu focusing his creative energies on his own Impasse label. After two singles on Impasse last year, Asusu has split 2016 between honing a new ambient live set and laying down some fresh material in the studio which forms the next Livity Sound release.

Due for release in early October, the two-track Hallucinator/Sendak continues the Livity Sound canon for, “unique and finely tuned mesmeric club tracks” and can be previewed below with the wiry “Hallucinator” standing out for those laser-like streams of synths. Asusu’s return marks only the second Livity Sound release this year after Kowton’s debut album, with the majority of output arriving through the Dnuos Ytivil division which has seen records from Batu, Forest Drive West and the incoming Hodge & Randomer hookup.

Livity Sound will release Hallucinator/Sendak by Asusu on October 7.
