Mood Hut’s Liam Butler on selection duties for latest Going Good mix
The Pender Street Stepper turns in a 75 minute selection of Jazz, Electronics and leftfield sounds.
Beyond the music that has surfaced from the Mood Hut studios, what really impresses about this Vancouver collective is the clear depth of music knowledge demonstrated in the various online mixes attributed to them; the vast archive at Libra Mix is a good place to start. Last year saw Jack Juston indulge his emotional side with an After Hours mix for Going Good and now the Brixton enclave have sought out his Pender Street Stepper partner, Liam Butler, for their latest edition. Pictured above with Hashman Deejay and Jutson laying down a memorable day time session at Dekmantel Festival back in 2014, Liam Butler’s GG session was recorded at Vancouver venue Cellar Jazz Club back in January and makes for perfect headphone listening for the more open-minded individuals out there.
