Carla dal Forno sees Fast Moving Cars
The F Ingers and Tarcar member goes solo with a new 7″ on Blackest Ever Black ahead of a debut album.
Surfacing for a rare interview with FACT last year, Blackest Ever Black founder Kiran Sande was quite unequivocal in his thoughts regarding the work of Australian musicians Tarquin Manek and Carla dal Forno: “I can’t overstate how important, and energizing, their presence on the label has been this past year or two.” Be it their music together as Tarcar and F Ingers or Manek’s solo album which arrived last year, these Berlin-dwelling Australians have provided us with some of the best BEB output of recent times.
As regular listeners to the Blackest Ever Black show on BCR, we’ve been aware the label were planning some solo Carla dal Forno material for some time and this first manifestation arrives in the shape of Fast Moving Cars. A two track 7″ due out at the end of the month, it can be seen as a taster for dal Forno’s debut solo album due in August. You can watch a home-made video for the deliciously fuzzy title track below.
