Bookworms gets In Character

The arrival of Nik Dawson’s debut album Xenophobe is heralded with a new video.

Electing to inaugurate your label with a full artist album ranks as a power move, so kudos to Entro Senestre for heralding the arrival of his Bank Records NYC by coaxing a long player out of fellow L.I.E.S. associate Bookworms. Xenophobe landed this week, gathering together a selection of cuts from the Bookworms archive dating back to Nik Dawson’s time in California and sporting the above killer graf artwork. Taken as a whole, the album shows off a lot of different angles to the Bookworms production palette, from the ragged yet glistening drum work out “You Say So” to the slow-burning 18 minute epic “STE-027” via some more meditative productions.

One of these, the bubbling, paranoid exercise in dub techno sound design that is “In Character”, has been picked out and given the enigmatic video treatment by YouTube entity OOUKFunkyOO. Watch in full below.
