Under the Mr. Fingers name, Larry Heard has committed some undeniable classics to the canon of deep house. but its an alias that has remained largely dormant since 2005. The fruitful partnership struck up between Heard’s Alleviated label and Clone Distribution has clearly helped the Chicago legend re-enter the “creative mindset” to start producing some fresh Mr. Fingers material, resulting in the upcoming self-titled 12″ that was widely reported late last year. Due out late next month, the four-track Mr. Fingers can be previewed below and finds Heard in quite a sedate and contemplative mood with B-side cut “Nodyahed” standing out as an immediate highlight.
