Baba Stiltz & Samo DJ & Tzusing have A Slice Of Heaven
The international trio have teamed up for the first release of 2016 from Munich’s Public Possession crew.
With the introduction of Mechatok rounding out their activities for the year, Public Possession overseers Marvin and Valentino are putting aside any notions of a festive break to detail their first 2016 transmission. It’s a curious affair too which brings together the collective production talents of Studio Barnhus affiliate Baba Stilz, Born Free’s Samo DJ and L.I.E.S. artist Tzusing for the charmingly titled A Slice Of Heaven. Due in January, the four-track 12″ is described in typical fashion by the Munich label as a record “that invites you to let your mind wander to foreign territories.”
Thinking there was a story to how this record came together, we sought out Public Possession for some further information with a spokesperson telling Juno Plus the following: “We met Baba when he played in Munich. He’s been friends with Samo since ages and when they approached us with the idea of doing a split EP, we couldn’t say no! One of the tracks they handed in was this dope pop song Sam did with Tzusing, that’s how he got on board.” Fans of Samo DJ should also look out for a cassette mix the Swede has done for The Trilogy Tapes which is due imminently.
Public Possession will release A Slice Of Heaven by Baba Stiltz & Samo DJ & Tzusing on January 16.
