Massimiliano Pagliara connects with Uncanny Valley

The Italian artist makes his debut appearance on the Dresden institution this month.

Up until now it had been a quiet year for Massimiliano Pagliara, having not issued a single under his own name since 2014. While the Berlin-based Italian may have popped up on labels as diverse as Balihu, Rush Hour and Meakusma over the years, it is Live At Robert Johnson that tends to house the majority of his music. That includes Pagliara’s two albums to date, Focus For Infinity and With One Another, the latter of which dropped in September last year. Considering the bold, playful strokes of the producers disco-fied hardware jams, it’s not surprising that he would consider linking up with Dresden label Uncanny Valley.

With a regular roster that includes Jacob Korn and Credit 00, the productive imprint has always veered towards electronic music brimming with personality. A staggeringly productive 12 months has borne witness to singles from regular characters as well as an LP from Joel Alter and a compilation celebrating five years of operation. Before they call time on 2015 though, there is just enough room for Pagliara to debut on the label with the four track EP Connection Lost Pt. 1. Reportedly the link between label and artist was forged after Alexander ‘ Credit 00’ Dorn contributed to the aforementioned With One Another, and the collaboration continues with Dorn supplying the artwork for this new record. Uncanny Valley will release Connection Lost Pt. 1 by Massimiliano Pagliara on December 11.
