RDMA returns to Kimochi
Stream the inconspicuous German artist’s five-track Refract EP in full.
Nearing five years in the game, Max Phifty’s label Kimochi Sound is garnering some much warranted attention following the spate of releases the it’s put out in the past 24 months. We recently reported on Kimochi introducing Russian producer Shine Grooves to its fold via the Tumannost EP, which follows 12″s featuring music from Benjamin Brunn, David Moufang, and the mysterious UD alias whose Adapt and Adapting, and Adapted, EPs received rare remixes from SUED co-founders SVN and SW. Alongside Brendon Moeller, Zachary Lubin and Phifty’s own Area alias, another name to build credentials on the label is RDMA, and the German artist returns to Kimochi Sound with a delightfully deep sounding five-track EP.
Entitled Refract, it provides RDMA with a second 12″ on Kimochi Sound following the release of last year’s Tantalize EP. RDMA’s music can also be found on Greta Cottage Workshop, the Tape Hiss label, while the production “It Will Never Be The Same” featured on a cassette release the Noorden label put out that also included tracks by from Raw MT and Jacob Long’s Earthen Sea project, among others. Due for a release in November, RDMA’s Refract EP, like all Kimochi Sound releases, will come pressed on heavyweight vinyl and housed in a spray-painted jacket, and ahead of its November release you can stream all five tracks in full below.
Kimochi Sound will release Refract by RDMA on November 11.
