Syracuse to release album
French label Antinote will put out the French duo’s debut album, Liquid Silver Dream.
In 2012 Antinote gave debut to Syracuse, a French duo skilful in the art of merging soft, poppy rock with strains of floating disco, new age and psychedelia. Antoine Kogut and Isabelle Maitre’s collaboration returned to the label last year with the sweet Lovventura / Latomia 7″, featuring a video from Irwin Barbé, notable for producing moving images for the music of Joey Anderson and Madteo to labels like Latency and CLFT, and news has now filtered through that the pair will release their first full length through their trusted Antinote.
Entitled Liquid Silver Dream, the album is comprised of six tracks and as a press release reads: “it seems that the whole album has been recorded in some secret cave under the sea.” The label have also singled out album-track “Love” to be a highlight, explaining “the only ornament being an elegant opiate dub treatment” given by Iueke. Syracuse’s Liquid Silver Dream provides Antinote with its second for the year following Paki & Visnadi’s Imaginary Choreography LP, and other quality records by Leonardo Martelli, Slack DJs member D.K and two 12″s from Inoue Shirabe. Antinote will release Liquid Silver Dream by Syracuse soon.
