Prins Thomas presents Paradise Goulash

The Scandolearic pioneer has crafted a 3 disc mix album in a tin can in honour of the Paradise Garage due in October on Eskimo.

Last year saw Prins Thomas deliver two official mixes that showcased his love for the marathon selection session in Rainbow Disco Club Vol.1 for Endless Flight and the double CD trawl through his own Full Pupp label to celebrate its 10th anniversary. This penchant was first documented by long-running Ghent label Eskimo Recordings who issued the now-classic Cosmo Galactic Prism from Prins Thomas back in 2007, and artist and label have now rekindled their relationship for an impressive-looking new mix from the Norwegian producer and DJ.

As the title suggests, Paradise Goulash sees (Prins) Thomas Moen Hermansen look to iconic ’70s New York discotheque Paradise Garage for inspiration on a sprawling three-disc mix spanning some 57 tracks in total. Described as “a gentle wander within the musical mind of the Prins,” Paradise Goulash features a quite-astounding list of contributing artists across the three mixes with Prins Thomas himself offering the following words of explanation:

“The music contained within is a willfully diverse collection of music that I hope you’ll find pleasing to your ears. Much like a bowl of goulash, not all the ingredients might be to your liking. It is undeniably more rustic roadside tavern than refined dining but I hope you already trust me behind the pots and pans. I have been spoilt for choice by the many fine ingredients available to me and have become somewhat blinded in compiling the final tracklist. However, the end result has now been tested on my nearest and dearest to approval.”

Eskimo will release Paradise Goulash by Prins Thomas on October 16.
