TMO is an Insomniac

Russian producer Leonid Lipelis will debut on Public Possession next month.

Moscow-based DJ and producer Leonid Lipelis has been making music under various guises for a while now, with a wedge of remixes for the nu-disco set complemented by a small clutch of Beard In Dust 12″s and some one-take machine jam experiments as TMO. The more adventurously-minded collectors and selectors out there will have been quick in snapping up his excellent Lipelis Edits 12″ for the LIES BLK series last month and will also be excited to hear he’s been tapped for some TMO material by Munich outpost Public Possession.

Due out early next month, the Insomniac 12″ will arrive as the latest in a fine run of releases from Marvin and Valentino’s label; a newly issued and more-focussed transmission from Obalski has complemented Bell Towers and Anton Klimt records as well as that massive Under The Influence edits 12″. Available to preview below, the two tracks suggest Lipelis has an impressive level of confidence at crafting off the cuff machine jams, with the A-side really living up to its simple title and as good as anything Tambien have released to date.

Public Possession will release the Insomniac EP by TMO on October 4.
