Acido present Departement D’Education Psychique
An album of improvised electronics from SVN, Dynamo Dreesen and Jean-Marc Foussat has slipped out on the cult label.
Under the tutelage of Andreas ‘Dynamo Dreesen’ Krumm, Acido Records has over the past decade or so quietly developed into one of the most exciting labels for house music bent out of shape into exciting new forms. Often sharing artists and projects with the similarly minded Sex Tags cluster of labels and the SUED platform operated by SVN and SW., new releases on Acido are always met with a sense of anticipation here at Juno Plus. For a greater insight into the ways of Acido we can highly recommend reading up on Will Lynch’s label profile published by RA back in 2013.
Having issued just one record so far this year, a suprise collaboration between Dynamo Dreesen, SVN, and A Made Up Sound, Acido has resurfaced with another unexpected treat involving the two artists that work under the name Dresvn. Departement D’Education Psychique is a seemingly one-off collaboration between Dynamo Dreesen, SVN, and veteran French artist Jean-Marc Foussat, with their Musique Improvisée album seemingly recorded in the latter’s living room in July last year in the weeks following a mid-week event at Paris space La Java. Formed of two extended, improvised pieces, the clips over at Hard Wax suggest Musique Improvisée to be similar in tone to the Busen LP issued on General Elektro earlier this year.
Musique Improvisée by Departement D’Education Psychique is out now on Acido Records.
