Hear Ishan Sound razing the Trinity Centre garden live in Bristol

The performance recorded at the weekend features Rider Shafique on mic duties and Ossia on live FX.

Fresh from releasing a heavyweight double pack on Peng Sound and following on from an appearance on Tectonic last year, Young Echo alumni Ishan Sound is on deadly form at present. His Juno Plus podcast that kicked off 2015 for us proved just how prolific the man otherwise known as Cris Ebdon is, with a dubplate-loaded salvo of exclusive tracks that has since been superseded by yet more fresh material appearing on his well-stocked SoundCloud page. An increased live presence has found Ishan Sound running his classic steppers sound through an equally classic live dub mix set up to devastating effect, which soundtracked an open air Sunday evening gathering in Bristol on May 10.

The Trinity Centre is one of the spiritual homes for dub in the city, featuring many of the iconic Teachings In Dub sessions amongst plenty of other roots-focused music events. Their annual garden party saw Ishan Sound take top billing, and for the occasion he called upon fellow Young Echo head and Peng Sound operator Ossia to get busy on the live effects, while Rider Shafique took up the toasting mantle.
