The Sun God conjures Cosmic Chords
Copenhagen label Cejero is Jamal Moss’s latest destination – stream a nine minute mind melter from his upcoming 12″.
Mathematics boss Jamal Moss is driven by a wayfaring spirit and its always interesting to see where his music pitches up next. Fresh off news of his upcoming Tabernacle debut as The Hieroglyphic Being Experience and a grotty remix of Mark Forshaw for Berceuse Heroique, Moss’s storied discography is to be further boosted by a new 12″ for Cejero. Based out of Copenhagen, the label focuses on “radical and curious music” and has issued records from Excepter and Robert Turman in the 18 months of activity so far.
Next month they add Jamal Moss to their cause (along with a new batch of old DJ Guy cuts) with the Chicago artist adopting The Sun God alias for The Sun God And The Myth Lives On Trio 12″. Recent transmissions under The Sun God name for Bio Rhythm and Sequencias have ranked among our favourite compositions from Moss, and we can add the nine-minute “Cosmic Chords One” to that list. Available to stream in full below, the track was actually laid down on a visit to Copenhagen last year and maintains a sense of brittle rhythmic stability throughout, allowing Moss to go deep on the discordant hardware psychedelia.
