45 ACP Introduces a Change Of Tone
The Paris-based producer also known as D.K. will debut on L.I.E.S. with a new album next month.
Along with Low Jack, Dangkhoa Chau is one of our favourite producers making noise out of Paris at the moment. He’ll be familiar to most for his dreamy, kaleidoscopic house workouts as D.K. which has encompassed a debut album for Antinote, along with several other cross format singles for Quentin Vandewalle’s label and the now dormant Get The Curse and Odd Frequencies operated by Clement Meyer. Last year saw Chau start producing under the 45 ACP guise too, a sort of devilish Mr Hyde to the Dr. Jekyll of his D.K. output, scoring a fine contribution to the Dog In The Night label operated by Robert Crash (aka IFM member Fran Mela).
It’s now been revealed Chau will debut on Ron Morelli’s L.I.E.S. label with a full album of 45 ACP material called Change Of Tone. Set for release next month, the album features six new 45 ACP productions from Chau that are described as “equally effective on the dancefloor or in your headphones”. You can stream the subtly ascendant boogie of album track “Ground To Ground” for an idea of what to expect from Change Of Tone.
L.I.E.S. Records will release Change Of Tone by 45 ACP in May.
