Local Artist has Feelings
The Mood Hut affiliate will grace the fourth release from Bradley Zero’s Rhythm Section International label later this month.
Speaking to us recently, RSI founder Bradley Zero revealed the label had no less than five releases mastered and scheduled for the year, featuring a “mix of local and international artists, some logical progressions from previous records and some rather unexpected collaborations”. The first of these 2015 arrivals sees Rhythm Section look to the Canadian Riviera and a producer closely associated with Mood Hut in Local Artist. The current creative concern of Ian Wyatt, Local Artist debuted back in 2013 with a self-titled release on Anthony Naples’s Proibito label, though the more dedicated Mood Hut fans will be familiar with his previous work.
Along with Pender Street Steppers pair Jack Jutson and Liam Butler, Wyatt formed a third of the art rock band No Gold which pre-dated the Mood Hut era, and he was also responsible for one of the label’s first cassette releases under the Slow Riffs name. If you’ve caught a set from Ben UFO, Alex Nut or Jack J recently you may be familiar with one of the cuts on the forthcoming Feelings 12″ which is set to drop later this month and presents “3 very different tracks, tied together by a decidedly dubwise approach to production”. Check it out below.
Rhythm Section International will release Feelings by Local Artist on April 20.
