IVVVO set for full Crème Organization debut
The Portuguese producer will issue Mark Leckey Made Me Hardcore through DJ TLR’s label in April.
The 15th anniversary celebrations from Crème this year promise much, with label showcases, more editions of the Valley Of The Shadows series and a book based around Mehdi Rouchiche’s classic artwork all in the pipeline. It’s clear Crème are actively tapping into the rich vein of production talent that hail from Portugal with records planned from One Eyed Jacks man Photonz and IVVVO following their contribution to the pay-what-you-want digital compilation There Is No Authority But Yourself issued last month.
In addition to the previously announced split release from IVVVO and Lisbon-based compatriot Lake Haze, DJ TLR’s label have revealed plans to grant the former a full Crème debut with the cannily titled Mark Leckey Made Me Hardcore. Due for release in April, the three track record is a clear reference to Fiorucci Made Me Hardcore from London artist Mark Leckey and represents IVVVO’s first full release since his Theories Of Anxiety EP for Danse Noire late last year. The below previews would seem to qualify the label’s statement the three tracks are IVVVO’s “most unique work to date” and the record comes with artwork that immediately brings to mind the Cormac McCarthy novel The Road.
Crème Organization will release Mark Leckey Made Me Hardcore by IVVVO on April 6.
