Download Floating Points and Four Tet’s farewell to Plastic People

PP_LOVE_FOUR-590

Listen to the whole six hours of the duo’s final set from the last night of the much-loved London club.

As was widely reported over the past week, London clubbing institution Plastic People closed its doors for the last time over the weekend, bringing an end to over 20 years of history across its locations in Oxford Street, and most famously, Curtain Road. The last public dance took place on Friday January 2 (an invite-only party for friends and family of the club took place the following evening), and saw resident DJs Four Tet and Floating Points take to the decks all night to see the venue off in style.

For those not lucky enough to have made it inside, the duo thankfully recorded their set in its entirety, available to stream below and download here, along with a full statement from the duo regarding the club’s closure and the final night. “We set this recording up just before the start of the night and unfortunately it distorts in places,” the duo explain of the recording, “but we make no apology for how joyfully noisy people get! The vibe in the room this night was typical of the club on any given night and we hope this recording captures just a fraction of the spirit of a Plastic People night.”
