Win tickets and prizes for Beats In Space 15th anniversary

Doubles passes to the event, Carhartt designed Beats In Space t-shirts and records from the label are all up for grabs ahead of Tief’s Corsica celebrations with Axel Boman, Tornado Wallace, Hunee, Mr. Ties, and of course, Tim Sweeney.

For many Tim Sweeney is the closest thing they’ll have to someone, something, like Detroit’s Electrifying Mojo. As the Beats In Space website tells, Sweeney’s radio show, airing every Tuesday night from 10:30pm to 1:00am on New York City’s WNYU 89.1 FM, began in the fall of 1999 and hasn’t missed a week since. The label on the other hand took longer to materialise, and after Pierre Rousseau and Simon Mény helped inaugurate Beats In Space the label as Paradis in 2011, Tornado Wallace, Gonno and Secret Circuit have since graced the label, as have other multifarious talents like Tom Noble and his House Of Spirits project, Dukes of Chutney and Hidden Fees.

To celebrate a whole 15 years of Beats In Space music across the pond from their NY HQ are London promoters Tief, who will descend on Corsica Studios later this month with a whole host of high profile DJs to help Sweeney party away the milestone. The wild card entry of the night is a Hunee back-to-back set with Homopatik creator Mr. Ties – the two have never played together before, in fact they have never even met, explain Tief – while Tornado Wallace, as always, will bring with him a beard and box of records, while a clean shaven Axel Boman will also add to the night’s soundtrack.
