Panthera Krause next on Lobster Theremin
Preview the Leipzig-based producer’s forthcoming Rules EP for the tireless label.
There’s been a pleasing globe-trotting aspect to the Lobster Theremin label since its inception, taking in house and techno of various shades by artists from Detroit, Budapest, Venice and the Australian outback. The label’s output has evidently been sourced via the internet as opposed to a stack of air miles and an overworked passport, but Lobster Theremin are still looking in the online spaces where a lot of other labels are too lazy to. A moment or two with our preferred search engine reveals the leather clad man behind Panthera Krause is a more established artist than some of the producers Lobster Theremin has worked with previously, most notably his rich discography as part of Compost trio Marbert Rocel.
Last year saw the Leipzigger establish the Panthera Krause name with a pair of 12″s for the Riotvan label, and his scheduled arrival on Lobster Theremin with the Rules EP offers yet another stylistic curveball for the label with a trio of disco-indebted productions finished off with an undeniably European polish.
