Dnuos Ytivil introduce Bruce

The Livity Sound offshoot will play host to the debut offering from the superbly named Bruce – preview it here. 

Those of you out there that pay close attention to the tracklistings of Hessle Audio’s weekly Rinse FM shows or the online mixes that pop up from the Pev, Kowton et al. will probably have pondered the following question: “Who is Bruce?” It’s a query that’s been thrown around the Juno Plus editorial inboxes in recent times too, having spotted tracks by the producer pop up in Joy O’s Essential Mix and Asusu’s Fabric promo mix with the hallowed words “forthcoming Hessle” and “forthcoming Dnuos Ytivil” next to them.

It now transpires Bruce is simply a “music producer and DJ” from Bath, Somerset, with a penchant for wearing sheepskin coats and in possession of our favourite unassuming production name since Joe (43). Bruce will follow Hodge and Alex Coulton in contributing to Dnuos Ytivil late next month with the Just Getting Started / Tilikum double drop which is available to preview below. The relentless polyrhythms and general darkside vibe of “Just Getting Started” is complemented well by the more playful Acido-style crunch of the B-side and demonstrates Livity Sound’s A&R skills are still way ahead of the game.
