Helena Hauff and Andreas Gehm have a Painful Confrontation

The idea of pairing up Pudel resident Hauff with her elder Köln-based compatriot Andreas Gehm is a compelling one and makes you wonder why a label hasn’t considered it before. After all, Gehm possesses a discography under his various aliases full of the type of rip-roaring electro and squat party techno that Hauff loves to play. Kudos then to Nico Jagiella and Robert Witschakowski for facilitating this meeting of minds for a forthcoming 12″ on their Solar One Music label. Titled simply Helena Hauff meets Andreas Gehm, the record is due out next month with two productions from each and can be previewed below – with the prevailing sound steadfastly in the bracing 303 zone.
