Preview Ostgut Ton material from Panorama Bar 06
Sample each exclusive production from Ryan Elliot’s forthcoming label mix Ostgut Ton will furnish for vinyl release next month.
Speaking with Resident Advisor in April, Ostgut Ton revealed Ryan Elliot (pictured above) was busy selecting music for his Panorama Bar 06 mix, with the label saying, “it will feature some of Ryan’s favourite artists and several Panorama Bar regulars,” whilst also stating it marked the onset of them no longer using the CD format for their mixes. The Ostgut Ton website has since acknowledged exactly who the featured artists are, and today they’ve uploaded to SoundCloud snippets of the exclusive tracks from Elliot’s mix to appear on the label’s customery various artist samplers, headlined this time by Terrence Dixon and Roman Flügel.
Across both 12″s there’s two ambient productions by Marcel Dettmann and Newworldaquarium, a rare cut from former label manager Nick Höppner, two punchy deep house productions by Deadbeat and Sushitech mainstay Makam, and something from Gerd Janson & Phillip Lauer’s Tuff City Kids collaboration whose first solo release was released through Ostgut sub-label Underton. The Oliverwho Factory will feature for a second time on a Panorama Bar mix after the Detroit duo’s track “Together” appeared mid-way through Tama Sumo’s mix from 2009, while Borrowed Identity, a producer whose Discogs page suggests he’s a Romanian living in Germany as a political refugee, provides a deep house track powered by Rhodes pianos, vocals and dubby chords.
Ostgut Ton will release both the full Panorama Bar 06 mix and both samplers on August 11.
