Get a taste for Dego’s forthcoming Blueberry release

When Drew Lustmann first confirmed exact details of his Blueberry Records label last summer the Brooklyn-based producer revealed a high calibre cast of contemporaries were pencilled in to contribute including Luke Vibert, Todd ‘Soundmurder’ Osborn and Dego. The latter name stood out for us as of particular interest, it being the most familiar handle of storied UK producer Dennis McFarlane outside of his work with Marc Mac as 4Hero (both are pictured above) and in the subsequent period Dego’s name has been popping up in some interesting places.

Back in January, Eglo released Dego & Kaidi, a self explanatory 12″ of new productions from McFarlane and regular collaborator Kaidi Tatham, and this was followed by a Berceuse Heroique reissue of “This Ain’t Tom & Jerry” in February, one of McFarlane’s rudest productions under the Cousin Cockroach name. With whispers of material on Sound Signature forthcoming, the imminent appearance of Dego on Blueberry seems timed perfectly, with the below stream of the soulful yet bananas lead track “Nuts!” an exciting taste of what to expect!
