Opal Tapes releases Cambiare compilation
Previously unreleased tracks from Yves De Mey, Best Available Technology, Karen Gwyer, Alis and more feature on the label’s new compilation.
Despite the relentless release schedule of Opal Tapes and its Black Opal sub-label, which has put out cassettes and vinyl from WANDA GROUP, Lumigraph, Bleaching Agent, IVVVO and many more since opening for business in 2012, the label has still found time to release two label compilations. Although the Opal Tapes shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon, it has managed to slip out a third compilation filled with noisy techno and lo-fi electronics with the minimum of fanfare.
Entitled Cambiare, the 14-track compilation is available to purchase now on Bandcamp for the bargain price of £1 (or more if you’re feeling generous), and features a number of names who have contributed recent cassettes to the Opal Tapes cause alongside a number of fresh names. Karen Gwyer, HOLOVR, Yves De Mey and Portland-based Best Available Technology are among the returning names, while Swedish Clan Destine signings D.Å.R.F.D.H.S. and acid enthusiasts Worker/Parasite are among those making their Opal Tapes debut.
Cambiare is out now on Opal Tapes and is available for purchase on Bandcamp.
