Rezzett returns to The Trilogy Tapes
Listen to a piece of blasted jungle taken from the anonymous producer’s forthcoming 12″ for Will Bankhead’s label.
Rezzett may not be the most high profile name amongst the swelling discography of The Trilogy Tapes, but last year’s self-titled 12″ for Will Bankhead’s label was arguably one of the imprint’s highlights to date, a skewed combination of scratchy rhythms and frazzled melodies that took the description “lo-fi” to new places. News of a second release from Rezzett has surfaced along with a rather distinctive looking label debut from Ilian Tape founder Dario Zenker on the horizon – which you can preview here – and whilst there is little concrete info on when TTT023 will arrive you can get a taste in the shape of “Zootie”. The track was a highlight of Bankhead’s recent Rinse FM show and finds Rezzett take their blasted sonics and apply them to a fusion of ambient chords and speaker-blowing hardcore.
