Traxx steps up for Anunnaki Cartel duty

Get an advance taste for the Nation boss’s upcoming split release with Amir Alexander.

Amir Alexander and Chris Mitchell launched Anunnaki Cartel last year to advance the mission pioneered by the already established sister label Vanguard Sound, “while adding other like-minded soldiers to the fold,” including artists such as Joey Anderson and Plan B pairing DJ Spider and Dakini9. Whilst plenty of labels seem happy to recycle the tropes and styles of house music pioneered in Chicago and New York, both Anunnaki Cartel and Vanguard Sound focus on how to push these ideas forward into new forms, so it comes as little surprise that they have called on Jakbeat pioneer Traxx to contribute to a forthcoming AC release. It will be a few months before you get the chance to cop the Howard/Loyola (Acid Frenzy) Project 12″ from Traxx and label founder Alexander, but the below video for “BaseAcid2″ further suggests it’s going to be a deeply lysergic affair.
