Visit IVVVO’s “Hardcore World ’94”
Listen to a track from the Portuguese producer’s forthcoming Light Moving EP for Fourth Wave.
As reported previously, Portuguese native IVVVO will be moving to Ramp’s Fourth Wave sub label for his next release, following up impressive releases for Opal Tapes and Public Information with more nostalgic rave-inspired techno on the Light Moving EP. One of the tracks from the EP, the rather self-explanatory “Hardcore World ’94” can be streamed in full below. As the name suggests, the track looks back to the ’90s for inspiration, with a monstrous bassline filled with abstracted crowd noise and sirens that give you the impression of being trapped in a rave 20 years hence.
London readers may be interested to know that Fourth Wave will be holding a launch party for the EP this Saturday November 23, at the new Ace Hotel basement venue in Shoreditch, featuring a headline DJ slot from IVVVO himself. Hypercolour and Man Make Music artist Trikk will be on hand to provide support. Entry is free and the event runs from 10pm – 3am and full details can be found here.
