Take a “Tab Of Acid” with Willie Burns
Stream a suitably titled track from the New York producer’s upcoming return to The Trilogy Tapes.
Having already issued records from Rezzett, Spider & Marshalitto, _moonraker, Eomac and Anthony Naples this year, The Trilogy Tapes have penciled in an end of year return for Burns, sandwiched in amidst releases from Vereker and the unknown entities Levantis and Ondo Fudd. Anyone that indulged in The Overlord, Burnett’s TTT debut last year, will attest that the creative stars seem to align when the WT Records founder chooses to work with his British counterpart Will Bankhead. That four track release featured some of the most memorable and diverse music committed to wax by Burnett under his Willie Burns alias, and was made all the more special by some of Bankhead’s best sleeve art in our opinion – which is no mean feat given his CV.
The forthcoming TTT return of Burns has the potential to exceed The Overlord in our affections on the basis of “Tab Of Acid”. Available to stream in full, the track fairly rips through seven minutes of acid-fuelled techno that evokes mental imagery of grotty basement raves in the back streets of Den Haag circa 1994.
