Premiere: Stream the last round of Karen Gwyer remixes

No Pain In Pop will issue three final reimaginations of Needs Continuum – stream in full here.

Karen Gwyer’s debut long player has been one of this year’s more rewarding albums, one complemented by a series of well chosen remix releases from No Pain In Pop that sprouted unexpected results in the wonderful Cowboys (For Karen) effort from Torn Hawk. The label and artist now sign off on the project with a final round of remixes from some lesser-known but clearly talented artists in Bedroom Club II contributor Ornine, In Fields and newcomer Moët.

At over ten minutes long, it’s not hard to see the rework of “Some Of My Favourite Lotions” by I’m A Cliche’s London correspondents In Fields as the centrepiece of this EP, with Raoul Marks & Ed Cox introducing a sense of almost Balearic serenity that’s far removed from the slowed down analogue stodge of Gwyer’s original.
