Styles Upon Styles add Archie Pelago

The Brooklyn multi-instrumentalists will inaugurate the local label proper with upcoming Hall of Human Origins EP.

To date, Styles Upon Styles have been releasing music under the banner of their conceptual series BASH, where in they enlist artists to deliver music across a variety of styles that can be split roughly into the categories of Bangers and Ash. Having just reached their fourth BASH release with the excellent Best Available Technology at the helm, Styles Upon Styles expand their remit to include music not stricken by such concepts, and have turned to the highly regarded talents of Archie Pelago with the forthcoming Hall of Human Origins EP.

Due out at the end of September, the five track release sees the multi instrumental talents of Hirshi, Kroba and Cosmo D develop further their self-professed approach to making dance music of “keep it human, give it soul”, that they’ve been demonstrating since their foundation in 2011. Brought to wider attention by last year’s self-titled Mr Saturday Night release, 2013 has seen the trio release with Well Rounded Individuals as well as found their own label, naturally called Archie Pelago Music.

Ahead of release you can stream clips of the EP below, which finds Archie Pelago in fine jazz-flecked fettle, whilst Styles Upon Styles retain the attention to detail that characterised their BASH with artwork from Calvin Ho and SUS sleeve design by Tschiegg.

Styles Upon Styles will release the Hall of Human Origins EP by Archie Pelago on September 24.
