STL and L’estasi Dell’oro go toe to toe on new Flaneur Audio

Stream Einig Eins EP, the upcoming split release between STL and Flaneur label-owner L’estasi Dell’oro.

Stephan Laubner rarely surfaces as STL on labels other than his own Something Records, though he clearly shares something of a simpatico with Dell’oro, having been coaxed into featuring alongside him on Possible Side Effects, Vol. 1, the debut release from Flaneur sub label Voodoo Down last year. Set to arrive next week, the Einig Eins EP sees the pair line either side of a 12″ with two tracks each that veer through various strains of rhythmic electronics. STL is on particularly ramshackle form with “Satisfied Bit” whilst “Hometown” pairs busted breakbeats with increasing layers of growling acid; by comparison Dell’oro opts for a straighter approach on his two tracks with “It Is Nothing What Nothing Is” a soaring delight.
