Samuel Kerridge returns to Downwards

From The Shadows That Melt The Flesh will be the Berlin-based producer’s second 12″ for Karl O’Connor’s label.

Emerging last year on Horizontal Ground, Samuel Kerridge’s gravelly, tectonic form of techno drew favourable comparisons to the likes of Andy Stott, Powell, and certain aspects of the Blackest Ever Black discography. Earlier this year he put out the Waiting For Love EP on Karl O’ Connor’s Downwards label, a suite of noise, drone and techno in four parts that expanded on his debut release productions to stunning effect.

Full details of the producer’s third EP have now emerged; the somewhat macabrely titled From The Shadows That Melt The Flesh will see Kerridge continue his relationship with Downwards with another EP in four individually numbered parts. On the basis of the clips below, it will see Kerridge continue to plough the murkier depths of techno, with another mixture of searing noise and reverb soaked, scorched earth rhythms.

Downwards will release From The Shadows That Melt The Flesh on June 21.
