Say hello to the Bridge & Tunnel Kids

Jorge Velez returns to the Echovolt label as Bridge & Tunnel Kids – sample the forthcoming release here. 

The news represents a welcome return to Echovolt Records for Velez, who was responsible for the debut release from the Greek label back in 2009 as part of PG&S alongside WT Records boss Willie Burns. Since then Echovolt has established itself as a Mediterranean ally of Crème, LIES et al through acquiring an assortment of lo-fi and jacking synth tracks from Steve Summers, JT Stewart, Legowelt, Entro Senestre and G String.

Surfacing under the Bridge & Tunnel Kids banner, the forthcoming Omnii EP is due out next month and presents a raw yet poised side to Velez, with lead track “Persistence” reminiscent of a slack jawed Legowelt. Excitingly the 12″ also sees a renewal of the PG&S partnership to a certain degree, with Willie Burns turning in a equally fuzzy edged, smudged out remix of the title track.
