Jordan Jordash launches Off Minor Recordings
Juju & Jordash’s Jordan Czamanski has launched Off Minor Recordings with the first release coming from the producer himself.
From their Amsterdam base, the affable Czamanski and his Juju & Jordash partner Gal Aner have been responsible for some truly memorable releases for Rush Hour, Golf Channel and Dekmantel, with Techno Primitivism – last year’s sumptuous album for the latter label – rightfully amongst our top albums of 2012. Off Minor Recordings has been founded as an outlet for Czamanski to release his solo productions as well as the stockpile of unreleased Magic Mountain High material that he’s recorded along with Aner and Move D that can’t quite fit into the Workshop Records schedule.
Speaking to us earlier today, Czamanski expands on the reasoning for the label, stating “I wouldn’t want to release my solo stuff on the same labels Juju & Jordash puts tracks out on as I don’t want to distract from Juju & Jordash. And anyhow, what music lover wouldn’t want to curate their own label?! I’ve been wanting to do this for years”
The label launches in June with Czamanski at the helm with a twelve inch entitled Crybaby J’s Theme under the newly established Jordan GCZ alias – a brief clip below sets the tone for what to expect – with a “dope remix on the B side”. There will also be plenty of Juju & Jordash material in the coming months with further instalments of their Unleash The Golem series due on Golf Channel (as well as a DVD), EPs for Dekmantel and Throne Of Blood, remixes for Young Marco and Terrence Parker and “some dope collaborations” promised.
Off Minor Recordings will release Crybaby J’s Theme by Jordan GCZ in June.
