Avian announce A Vision Of Love
Avian look into the unknown once more with the news their next release comes from the mysterious act A Vision Of Love.
Expanding on the two part approach of the label’s last release, Shifted’s The Cold Light package, A Vision Of Love’s Lessons In Hate will be released as a series of self styled “S & M techno tools”, with the first part representing the tenth Avian transmission since it surfaced in 2011. Those initial individual EPs from label co-founders Shifted and Ventress established a clear aesthetic that has since been expanded through the debut of Truss’s MPIA3 project, and supported by a clutch of mysterious producers (or aliases) which include the unpronounceable Shxcxchcxsh, AD/S and Shadows.
Lessons In Hate is the debut release for A Vision Of Love, supposedly a London-based archivist and techno profligate with a penchant for fusing “classic, second wave Detroit music with found sounds and degraded film & radio excerpts”. Part One of Lessons In Hate sees the veiled producer create two tracks of unguarded emotion, with distant industrial booms and harsh MPIA3-style beats moving through savagely equalised electronics. Like Avian’s two previous releases, Lessons In Hate comes packaged in a stickered jacket with double-sided postcard insert.
Avian will release Lessons In Hate (Part One) by A Vision Of Love at the end of April.
