The Analogue Cops announce Bratha venture

Raw techno enthusiasts The Analogue Cops have revealed details of a new studio project and label.

Not short of an alias or two, Lucretio and Marieu’s Analogue Cops moniker (who announced details of their debut album last month) originally started life as Xenogears, and their collaborative projects include Parassela alongside Blawan, and Third Side with Panorama Bar resident Steffi. As Resident Advisor report, they’ve now announced another details of another collaborative venture in the form of Bratha, whose first fruits will be released on a new label of the same name.

Joining the duo this time is No Mad Ronin, who has formerly worked with veteran house and techno producer Jerome Sydenham, and the four tracks that make up their first release were laid down at the duo’s Restoration Studios in Berlin, “produced on hardware devices and recorded on ferromagnetic tape during frantic aftertea sessions”. Joining them on one track is Arthur Cayzer – better known as Pariah – whose involvement with the Analogue Cops was first revealed in our interview with the Parassela trio last October; previews of all four tracks can be heard below.

Bratha will release Bratha 01 at the end of March.
