Premiere: Mondkopf – Ease Your Pain (Low Jack Remix)

Rising talent Low Jack obliterates “Ease Your Pain” by Mondkopf for a forthcoming remix EP – stream it in full here.

The Parisian producer turned our heads back in September with the Fairplay on a fistful of MDMA stylings of his debut release Slow Dance, and it seems that we weren’t the only ones to be impressed. Newly signed up for the next Delsin House Series release, Low Jack joins Raster Noton and Stroboscopic Artefacts artist Kangding Ray and Somaticae in remixing Mondkopf for a forthcoming In Paradisum 12″, due out later this month.

In its original form “Ease Your Pain” was an intense, unrelenting exercise in industrial noise compared to Fuck Buttons on acid in our review, while Surgeon memorably stated he was “glad that not everybody is making fucking dub techno these days” upon hearing. Low Jack’s remix couldn’t sound any more removed from the source but is equally memorable, slowing the tempo down to a lurching pace and gently revealing a truly hallucinatory core with mind bending results.
