Mister Saturday Night announce second Anthony Naples 12″

New York-based label Mister Saturday Night has revealed details of its third release, with Anthony Naples set to follow-up his popular Mad Disrespect 12″ with another effort, Moscato

Somewhat confusingly, both tracks on the EP are titled “Moscato”, but the quality of the material on offer should unfurrow most brows, with Naples taking the swinging house sound first heard on Mad Disrespect and giving it a rougher, distinctly grubbier edge. The release will follow Archie Pelago’s recent eponymous EP for the club night-turned-label, which Juno Plus writer Oli Warwick described as “a cosy concoction that soothes as much as it surprises”.

Meanwhile, MSN label bosses Justin Carter and Eamon Harkin will return to UK shores for their regular London residency at Plastic People this Friday night (November 9), with revenue made from the event going towards relief projects for rebuilding the Brooklyn neighbourhood of Red Hook, which was left devastated by the recent Hurricane Sandy.

When contacted by Juno Plus, Carter explained that he had visited the neighbourhood last weekend to help people clean up their flood ravaged homes. “After being on the ground in Red Hook, seeing what’s happening with our own eyes, it’s a no brainer to make this weekend’s parties in London and Berlin a benefit,” he said. “When something like this happens, you want to want to do everything in your power to make it better. We really hope that what we’re doing can contribute to some comfort for these folks in some small way.”

You can buy tickets for this Friday’s event here. Harkin and Carter’s gig in Berlin on Saturday has also been turned into a fundraiser – more on that here. You can also stream snippets of both version of “Moscato” below. There’s been no word on a release date for the 12″ yet – keep an eye on Juno Plus for more details as they emerge.
