Stroboscopic Artefacts announce Stellate 2
Stroboscopic Artefacts have just announced details of the second in theirĀ Stellate series of compilations.
As Resident Advisor reports, the second compilation will follow the same bespoke direction as the first (pictured above), consisting of two transparent 10-inch records and prints packaged in a round tin, and limited to 300. Perhaps most exciting is news of the contributors lined up for round two, with Stroboscopic Artefacts artists Dadub, Sandwell District associate Silent Servant in collaboration with Luis Farfan, Swedish duo Roll The Dice, and Italian production unit Plaster all set to appear.
Supposedly, this edition has a loose theme, that of “the process of looping, using both digital and analogue tools to layer ideas, distort perceptions and filigree finely textured surfaces” – and given the artists assembled, we’d expect it to be along the same highly experimental lines of the first, which included contributions from label head Lucy, Perc, Borful Tang, and Kevin Gorman.
Stellate 02 will be released on June 14 on vinyl and July 27 digitally.
