James Murphy, DJ Harvey and Untold join Sonar line-up
Sónar have today announced a raft of new additions to the Barcelona leg of the international festival of music and art, including James Murphy, DJ Harvey and Untold.
As well as the former LCD Soundsystem frontman Murphy, Hemlock Recordings head Untold and esteemed selector Harvey all performing DJ sets at the festival, further highlights come in the shape of Daedelus performing his Archimedes live show, Mute founder Daniel Miller laying down his selections and veterans New Order performing live. However, the place to be looks set to be the RBMA-presented SónarDome, which reads like a who’s who of producers operating in the nebulous cross genre bass zone, with Chicago juke figureheads Rashad and Spinn, Fade To Mind cohorts Nguzunguzu, Ten Thousand Yen head Doc Daneeka, xxxy, Om Unit and Nightwave all putting in an appearance.
These acts join the already formidable bill, taking place from 14-16 June, which features Jacques Greene, John Talabot, Blawan and label showcases from Hyperdub, 100% Silk and Brainfeeder.
Full details of the line-up additions can be found at the Sonar website here.
