John Talabot to play Juno Plus party in September
We are delighted to announce the second act billed for our upcoming Juno Plus showcase at The Nest in Dalston: Spanish prodigy John Talabot.
A cloak of mystery has surrounded the producer since he arrived on the scene in 2009 – it was the stunning remix of Aufgang’s “Channel 7” that made us sit up and take notice. Since then, Talabot has followed up with lauded and loved solo EPs for Young Turks and Hivern Discs, the Barcelona-based imprint he co-runs, as well as a raft of equally well received remixes. Expect his stock to rise further still with the release of his debut album via Munich based label Permanent Vacation, due to drop around the time of our party.
His deep and slinky DJing style will be a more than welcome addition to the evening’s festivities, set to take place at The Nest on Friday, September 23. It’s also the first time he’s played in London for more than a year! We’ve already revealed that Hyperdub prodigy Ossie will be playing on the night – that just leaves one more name to come.
