2562 launches new label When In Doubt

Dave Huismans aka 2562 today revealed his latest label endeavour When In Doubt and details of the first official 2562 material in over a year with a ten inch out next month and a new album to follow.

Aside from contributing one of the best tracks on last year’s Modeselektion Vol 1 compilation, the Berlin-based Dutch producer hasn’t graced us with a proper 2562 release for far too long, choosing to concentrate on the housier end of his talents as A Made Up Sound with recent releases on Delsin and his own A Made Up Sound imprint.

Huismans launches When In Doubt with Aquatic Family Affair/This Is Hardcore, a double A-side green vinyl 10″ single.  Limited to 300 copies , the release sees Huismans continue to blur the boundaries between dubstep, house and techno. Both tracks feature the loose, liquid sound 2562 has made his own over the last two years. Subsequent to this, When In Doubt will release Fever, Huismans’ third album as 2562 across vinyl, CD and digital formats at the beginning of April.

Ahead of the first release, Huismans will be flying out to Japan for a short DJ tour, with Japanese bassheads able to catch him play in Nagoya, Tokyo, Kanazawa and Osaka from January 20 to 23. A 10-date tour of North America is also planned, beginning on February 16.
