Disco 3000 returns with two new edits
The Disco 3000 nom de plume of Holloway’s finest has been revived with a brace of superlative edits due for release next month.
Those unaware of the producer’s identity probably need to indulge in a quick Google search, while the rest of you can lick your lips at the prospect of a follow up to previous sold out 12″ featuring edits of Dusty Springfield’s “That’s The Kind Of Love I Got For You” and Supercharge’s “Think I’m Gonna Fall In Love”.
This time round Nigerian singer Carol Jiani’s string heavy 1981 jam “Hit & Run Lover” is given a modern twist, whilst the B Side is reserved for a retweaked obscure oddity in the shape of Alphaville’s “The Nelson Highrise (Sector One)”.
The 12″ will be released via Ballerino on December 17, 2010.
Tracklisting:
A1. Carol Jiani ‘Hit & Run Lover’ (Disco 3000 Edit)
B1. Alphaville ‘The Nelson Highrise (Sector One)’ (Disco 3000 Edit)
