Mary Anne Hobbs reveals more acts for Bloc 2011
Former Radio One stalwart Mary Anne Hobbs has announced some of the names who will be appearing on her showcase stage at next year’s Bloc Festival with L-Vis 1990 and Roska amongst those playing.
Hobbs has been pretty quiet since her departure from Radio One, seemingly concentrating on DJing and a burgeoning interest in urban rambling but today’s revelation that she will be presenting a showcase at the fifth edition of the Festival that occurs just outside Bristol is surely further reason to consider attendance.
Her showcase will see DJ sets from Night Slugs co founder L-Vis 1990, Rinse icon Roska and Hobbs herself plus live performance from footwork types Addison Groove and Bristolian Al Tourettes who has impressed so many with releases on Apple Pips and Aus.
Last week the event organisers announced that the festival which takes place on the weekend of March 11 – 13, 2011 at Minehead, Somerset will see performances from Moderat, Visionquest feat. Seth Troxler, LFO, Vitalic, Claude Von Stroke, Black Devil Disco Club, Joy Orbison, Digital Mystikz, Beardyman and Dopplereffekt.
More additions to the lineup to follow as the festival approaches.
